How It Works

Straightforward Support From Day One

Starts From the date the original customer takes delivery.
Covers Applicable manufacturing faults and defects affecting covered components.
Transferable The remaining original warranty period may transfer with qualifying proof of purchase.
Does Not Restart Changing ownership does not reset or extend the original one-year period.
ACL Your Australian Consumer Law rights remain separate.

Our 1 Year Comprehensive Warranty is a voluntary warranty provided by Cooly Bikes. It is in addition to your rights and remedies under Australian Consumer Law, and those rights are not limited to the one-year voluntary warranty period. Consumer guarantees apply automatically and cannot be excluded, restricted or replaced by this warranty.

The 1 Year Comprehensive Warranty begins from the date the original customer takes delivery of the product.

The one-year period applies to the voluntary Cooly Bikes warranty. It does not limit any consumer guarantee or other statutory right that may continue to apply beyond that period.

Transfer of Ownership

The Cooly Bikes 1 Year Comprehensive Warranty is transferable with the bike for the remaining balance of the original one-year warranty period.

A subsequent owner may access the remaining voluntary warranty period provided they can supply satisfactory proof that the bike was originally purchased through Cooly Bikes or an authorised Cooly Bikes distributor/dealer.

Transfer of ownership does not restart, reset or extend the warranty period. The one-year warranty continues to run from the date the original customer took delivery of the product.

For example, if ownership transfers six months after the original customer takes delivery, the subsequent owner may access the remaining six months of the voluntary warranty, subject to the warranty terms and satisfactory proof of the original qualifying purchase.

This transferability provision relates specifically to the Cooly Bikes voluntary warranty. Australian Consumer Law rights and remedies remain separate and unaffected.

What the Cooly Bikes Warranty Covers

During the warranty period, the Cooly Bikes voluntary warranty covers applicable manufacturing faults, defects or failures affecting the covered components where the issue arises during normal intended use of the product.

If a claim is covered by the voluntary warranty, Cooly Bikes will arrange an appropriate remedy depending on the nature of the fault and the circumstances.

This may include:

  • Repair
  • Replacement of an affected component
  • Authorised service support
  • Another appropriate remedy available under the voluntary warranty

Your remedies under Australian Consumer Law may differ depending on the circumstances and remain unaffected by this voluntary warranty.

Warranty Claims

Need to Make a Claim?

We've kept the process straightforward.

01
Email Our Warranty Team

To start a warranty enquiry or claim, email:

There is no separate online warranty claim form.

02
We'll Assess the Issue

Our team will review the information provided.

Depending on the issue, we may need to carry out troubleshooting, request additional information, arrange an inspection, request photos or video, or arrange assessment by an authorised service provider.

03
We'll Arrange the Appropriate Next Step

If the issue is covered by the Cooly Bikes voluntary warranty, we'll arrange an appropriate remedy based on the circumstances.

This may include repair, replacement of an affected component, authorised service support or another appropriate remedy available under the voluntary warranty.

Nothing in this process limits any remedy available to you under Australian Consumer Law.

Depending on the issue, we may ask for:
  • Your name and contact details
  • Order details or other proof of purchase
  • Bike model
  • Serial number, where relevant
  • A clear description of the issue
  • Photos
  • Video, where relevant
  • Other reasonable diagnostic information relevant to the claimed fault

Things to Know

When the Voluntary Warranty May Not Apply

The Cooly Bikes voluntary warranty does not generally cover damage or failure caused or contributed to by:

  • Accident, collision, impact, abuse or misuse
  • Stunts, freestyle riding or other use outside the product's intended operation
  • Fire, flood, storm or other external events
  • Water or environmental exposure where the issue was not caused by a covered manufacturing defect
  • Rust, corrosion or environmental deterioration arising through use, storage or exposure rather than a covered defect
  • Foreign objects, debris or external contamination
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Poor, inappropriate or neglected maintenance where that maintenance issue caused or contributed to the fault
  • Incompatible parts or components where they caused or contributed to the fault
  • Unauthorised modification, derestriction or tampering where it caused or contributed to the fault
  • Unauthorised repairs or associated work where they caused or contributed to the fault
  • Operation outside the model's approved configuration where that operation caused or contributed to the fault
  • Transport damage arising from transport independently arranged by the customer where that damage was not caused by Cooly Bikes or its authorised freight provider

These exclusions apply to the Cooly Bikes voluntary warranty only. They do not exclude, restrict or remove any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Normal Wear & Consumable Parts

Bikes contain components that naturally wear through normal use.

Normal wear and tear is not generally a manufacturing defect and is therefore not normally covered by the Cooly Bikes voluntary warranty.

Examples may include:

  • Tyres
  • Tubes
  • Brake pads
  • Bearings
  • Seats and other contact surfaces
  • Other consumable components

This does not mean a wear or consumable component can never be covered. If a component has a genuine manufacturing fault or defect, rights under this warranty or Australian Consumer Law may still apply depending on the circumstances.

Looking After Your Cooly

Regular maintenance helps keep your bike safe, reliable and riding the way it should.

We recommend servicing your bike appropriately for how often and where you ride it.

Damage caused or contributed to by neglected or inappropriate maintenance may fall outside the Cooly Bikes voluntary warranty.

Simply missing a service does not remove rights that may otherwise exist under Australian Consumer Law.

View our service menu and book here →
Modifications & Approved Configuration

Cooly Bikes sells genuinely separate product configurations designed for different intended uses.

Unauthorised modification, derestriction, tampering, incompatible components, unauthorised repairs or operation outside the model's approved configuration may affect the Cooly Bikes voluntary warranty where they caused or contributed to the fault being claimed.

A modification, component or repair does not automatically cancel the entire voluntary warranty merely because it exists.

Australian Consumer Law rights remain unaffected.

Returns for Assessment

Freight, Transport & Assessment

There is no fee to submit a voluntary warranty claim.

Because e-bikes are large and heavy products, please contact Cooly Bikes before arranging return freight or transport for a warranty claim.

Easy to Return

Where a product or component can reasonably be posted or easily returned, Cooly Bikes may ask the customer to initially pay the applicable reasonable postage, freight or transport cost for assessment.

Where assessment by a qualified Cooly Bikes mechanic confirms a manufacturing fault covered by the voluntary warranty, Cooly Bikes will reimburse the reasonable approved postage, freight or transport cost.

Large or Heavy to Return

Where a faulty product is large, heavy or difficult to return, including a complete eBike where applicable, Cooly Bikes will arrange or cover appropriate collection or transport where required by Australian Consumer Law.

Reimbursement

Approved reimbursement will be processed within 10 days of approval.

Please keep receipts or other reasonable evidence of approved postage, freight or transport expenses associated with a claim.

There is no blanket policy stating that assessment, inspection, collection, freight or transport charges automatically apply simply because a claimed fault is ultimately found not to be covered.

Where a bike or component needs to be transported, please package it securely and follow any reasonable transport instructions provided by Cooly Bikes.

Nothing in this section limits your rights or remedies under Australian Consumer Law.

Authorised Dealer Purchase

Purchased Through an Authorised Cooly Bikes Dealer?

If you purchased your Cooly Bike through an authorised dealer, please contact that dealer in the first instance for assistance.

They will often be the quickest starting point because they have the original sale details and may be able to inspect the bike locally.

Cooly Bikes also remains available to assist with applicable warranty enquiries.

TAKE YOUR EBIKE FURTHER

Transport your eBike without trying to squeeze it into the back of the car.

Choose the more compact Single-Bike Carrier when you're travelling with one bike, or step up to the Two-Bike Carrier when you need room for two.

Both options mount to a 2-inch receiver and are designed to give you a solid rear-mounted transport solution for bigger, heavier bikes.

The important bit? The right carrier depends on more than how many bikes you want to take.

Your vehicle, towbar, receiver, carrier and loaded bike setup all need to work together.

Choose your carrier, check your vehicle and hit the road with confidence.

Choose Your Carrier

Single-Bike Carrier

One bike. More compact.

The Single-Bike Carrier is the more compact option for riders transporting one eBike.

At approximately 840 mm deep, it extends less distance behind the vehicle than the Two-Bike Carrier, making it the natural starting point when you only need to carry one bike.

Key Details

  • Carries 1 bike
  • Requires a 2-inch receiver
  • Q235B steel construction
  • Approx. 272 kg / 600 lb carrier rating
  • Approx. 27 kg carrier weight
  • Approx. 1960 mm wide × 840 mm deep × 155 mm high
  • Maximum tyre width approx. 127 mm
  • Ramp length approx. 1 m

Best for

Riders transporting one bike who want the more compact of the two carrier options.

Vehicle suitability still needs to be confirmed for your specific setup.

Two-Bike Carrier

Two bikes. More carrying room.

Need to take two eBikes with you?

The Two-Bike Carrier gives you the extra carrying position, with a wider tyre allowance and a larger overall footprint.

At approximately 1350 mm deep, it extends materially further behind the vehicle than the Single-Bike Carrier. That makes vehicle fitment and rear-overhang checking particularly important before ordering.

Key Details

  • Carries 2 bikes
  • Requires a 2-inch receiver
  • 6063-T5 aluminium construction
  • Approx. 272 kg / 600 lb total carrier rating
  • Approx. 30 kg carrier weight
  • Approx. 1910 mm wide × 1350 mm deep × 110 mm high
  • Maximum tyre width approx. 140 mm
  • Ramp length approx. 1.18 m

Best for

Riders transporting two bikes where the vehicle, towbar, receiver and loaded configuration can accommodate the larger carrier.

Why You'll Want One

More Room for the Bike

Keep your eBike out of the cabin and free up the inside of your vehicle for everything else that comes with the trip.

Single or Double

Choose the carrier around the number of bikes you actually need to transport rather than buying more carrier than your setup requires.

Built for Bigger Bike Tyres

The Single-Bike Carrier accommodates tyres up to approximately 127 mm wide, while the Two-Bike Carrier allows up to approximately 140 mm.

A Ramp for Loading

Both carrier configurations use a loading ramp, helping you move the bike onto the carrier rather than lifting the full bike directly into position.

Ready for the Road Trip

Once you've confirmed the complete fitment for your vehicle, you've got a practical way to take your eBike further from home.

Do I Need a 2-Inch Receiver?

Yes.

Both carrier options require a 2-inch receiver.

But the receiver size is only the starting point.

Having a 2-inch receiver confirms the basic mechanical receiver requirement. It does not automatically confirm that the complete carrier and bike setup is suitable for your vehicle or for road use.

Before ordering, consider the complete combination of:

  • Your vehicle
  • Your towbar and receiver
  • Carrier weight
  • Bike weight
  • Rear overhang
  • Loaded dimensions
  • Number-plate visibility
  • Rear-light visibility
  • The road rules that apply where you drive

Carrier Capacity Is Not Vehicle Capacity

This distinction matters.

The approximately 272 kg figure is the carrier's advertised rating.

It does not mean every vehicle, towbar or receiver can support 272 kg.

Your loaded configuration includes:

Carrier weight
+ Bike weight(s)
+ Any other carrier-mounted equipment

That total must remain within every applicable limit for your:

  • Vehicle
  • Towbar
  • Receiver or hitch
  • Carrier

The lowest applicable verified limit governs.

For example, a higher carrier rating does not override a lower limit specified for your vehicle or towbar.

Always check the relevant manufacturer limits for your actual vehicle and equipment before use.

Vehicle Fitment & Road Use

Every vehicle setup is different.

Compatibility can depend on more than whether the carrier physically connects to your receiver.

Factors can include:

  • Vehicle make, model and year
  • Wheelbase
  • Rear overhang
  • Carrier weight
  • Bike weight
  • Vehicle and towbar load limits
  • Loaded width
  • Number-plate visibility
  • Rear-light visibility
  • Physical installation
  • State or territory road requirements

The easiest way to think about it is:

Check the complete vehicle + carrier + bike setup.

Road rules and dimensional requirements can vary across Australia, so confirm the requirements that apply where you drive before using the loaded carrier on public roads.

Queensland Customers — Need a Hand Checking Fitment?

If you're in Queensland, the Cooly Crew can help you work through the vehicle-specific fitment before you order.

We can look at information such as:

  • Vehicle make, model and year
  • Wheelbase
  • Rear overhang
  • Carrier and bike weight
  • Vehicle and towbar limits
  • Loaded width
  • Number-plate visibility
  • Rear-light visibility
  • Physical fit

Queensland rear-overhang requirements depend on the dimensions of the actual vehicle and loaded configuration.

It is not simply a measurement from the towbar to the end of the carrier.

If you're unsure, contact the Cooly Crew before ordering and we'll help you work through it.

Contact the Cooly Crew

Why the Two-Bike Version Needs a Closer Fitment Check

The biggest physical difference between the two carriers is their front-to-back depth.

The Single-Bike Carrier is approximately:

840 mm deep

The Two-Bike Carrier is approximately:

1350 mm deep

That additional depth means the Two-Bike Carrier extends materially further behind the vehicle.

It does not automatically make the Two-Bike Carrier unsuitable.

It simply means rear overhang and the complete loaded configuration deserve a closer look before you choose it.

If you only need to transport one bike, the more compact Single-Bike Carrier may be the more appropriate option.

Number Plate & Rear Lights

Your registration plate and required rear lighting need to remain appropriately visible in the complete loaded configuration.

If your normal registration plate is obscured, check the requirements that apply in your state or territory before driving.

For Queensland vehicles, an appropriate accessory number plate may be required where the normal registration plate is obscured.

If required rear lights are obscured by the carrier or bikes, the configuration needs to be addressed appropriately before road use.

Do not assume that physically mounting the carrier completes the road-use check.

Before You Order

A quick check now can save a headache later.

1. Confirm Your Receiver

Both carrier options require a 2-inch receiver.

2. Check Your Load Limits

Confirm the applicable vehicle, towbar and receiver limits and include the carrier's own weight in your calculation.

3. Add Your Bike Weight

Include the weight of every bike and any other equipment being carried on the carrier.

4. Check the Loaded Dimensions

Consider rear overhang, overall width and the complete carrier-and-bike configuration.

5. Check Your Plate and Lights

Make sure your registration plate and required rear lights will remain appropriately visible or are addressed in accordance with the requirements where you drive.

6. Not Sure?

Ask the Cooly Crew before ordering.

We'd rather help you check the setup first than leave you guessing afterwards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this carrier fit any vehicle with a 2-inch receiver?

No.

A 2-inch receiver is the mechanical receiver requirement for both carrier options, but it does not by itself confirm that the complete carrier and bike configuration suits every vehicle.

Vehicle dimensions, rear overhang, load limits, physical fit and applicable road requirements also need to be considered.

Should I choose the Single or Two-Bike Carrier?

If you only need to transport one bike, start with the Single-Bike Carrier. It is the more compact option and extends less distance behind the vehicle.

Choose the Two-Bike Carrier when you genuinely need capacity for two bikes and your vehicle configuration can accommodate the larger carrier.

The right option depends on both how many bikes you need to carry and the fitment of your vehicle.

Can my vehicle carry 272 kg because the carrier is rated to 272 kg?

Not necessarily.

The approximately 272 kg / 600 lb figure is the carrier rating, not your vehicle's load capacity.

Your carrier, bike or bikes and any other carrier-mounted equipment must remain within every applicable vehicle, towbar, receiver and carrier limit.

The lowest applicable verified limit governs.

Can I use the Two-Bike Carrier in Queensland?

Suitability depends on the complete vehicle and loaded configuration.

The Two-Bike Carrier extends further rearward than the Single-Bike Carrier, so rear-overhang fitment requires closer attention.

It should not be treated as automatically suitable or automatically unsuitable based on the carrier alone.

Queensland customers can contact the Cooly Crew for help working through the vehicle-specific fitment before ordering.

What happens if my number plate is covered?

Your registration plate needs to remain appropriately displayed.

Requirements vary by jurisdiction. In Queensland, an appropriate accessory number plate may be required if the normal registration plate is obscured by the carrier or bikes.

Check the requirements that apply where your vehicle is registered and driven.

What if the carrier or bikes block my rear lights?

Required rear lighting needs to remain appropriately visible.

If the loaded carrier obscures required lights, the configuration needs to be addressed appropriately before road use.

Check the requirements for your vehicle and jurisdiction rather than assuming the unloaded carrier position tells you everything you need to know.

Ready to Take Your Cooly Further?

Choose the Single-Bike Carrier for the more compact one-bike setup or the Two-Bike Carrier when you need room for two.

Then confirm the fitment for your vehicle before ordering.
